There’s a single portrait of one of Miriam’s exes hanging in her bedroom (the first time, I admit, it struck me as a trophy), and it’s the one of her second partner, whom here and from now on I’ll call Mirko, and this is just one of the many quirks that set him apart; in fact his résumé diverges from all the others, who instead seem to have stepped out of a crime and/or horror and/or splatter movie.
